Student Employment

During the academic year, ECLA students were eligible for both on-campus and off-campus employment. The College's policy allowed for a maximum of six hours of work per week when classes were in session. ECLA's financial aid programme was designed in such a way as to avoid student reliance on employment as a necessity for tuition, room and board expenses. However, ECLA recognized that a part-time earning activity through on- or off- campus student jobs may contribute importantly to the quality of student life off Campus.

ECLA offered opportunities for student employment throughout all academic programmes. During the International Summer University, opportunities for employment were more limited and depended on students' eligibility for work in Germany under their Summer visas. Hiring for student jobs took place via an open advertisement and selection process.
