D. C. Andersson was educated at Oxford University, the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Warburg Institute. He is currently a fellow of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. He has published on various aspects of Renaissance culture, and in addition to his academic activities, publishes poetry.
