Theodor Paleologu, a former scholar of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, studied Philosophy at the University of Paris I - Sorbonne and earned his Ph.D. in Political Studies from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the University of Munich. He was a research fellow at the University of Notre Dame, Harvard University and the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. He taught at the ENS, Boston College and Deep Springs College. He is on leave from the European College of Liberal Arts since November 2005, when he was appointed Ambassador of Romania to the Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Iceland.
