David Levine
DAVID LEVINE's work encompasses performance, theater, installation, and video. His projects have been seen at Documenta XII [with Cabinet magazine], Gavin Brown's Enterprise@Passerby (New York), Galerie Magnus Mueller (Berlin) Galerie Feinkost (Berlin), HAU2 (Berlin), PS122 (New York), the Goethe Institut NY, and the Sundance Theater Lab. His work has been featured in THE NEW YORK TIMES, BOMB, CABINET, Art/US, THEATER DER ZEIT, THEATER HEUTE, DIE ZEIT, ART REVIEW, TDR, THE VILLAGE VOICE, and the BELIEVER, and has received grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Kulturstiftung Des Bundes, and Etants Donnes/French Fund for Performance. He is the subject of an upcoming article in PAJ, and his first solo exhibition, HOPEFUL, will open at Galerie Feinkost, Berlin, in June, 2009. He lives and works in New York and Berlin.
