Melinda Harvey received her PhD from the University of Sydney in 2004. Her current research focuses on the relationship between place, cosmopolitanism and modernism. She has published articles on J. M. Coetzee, Dorothy Richardson and May Sinclair and reviews contemporary fiction for a number of broadsheet newspapers and literary magazines in Australia. Her principal teaching interests are in literature and film.
