Jarrell Robinson

Jarrell Robinson received his B.A. from St.John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a small liberal arts college without majors, devoted to grounding its students in the scientific, mathematical, and philosophic works of the Western tradition through a study of primary texts. He received his M.A. from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago. His dissertation will be on Plato's Republic, looking at the question of justice as Plato's way of properly approaching the question of the nature of man. He has taught political philosophy in the College at the University of Chicago, and has most recently been Associate Editor of the journal "Classical Philology". He shares his intellectual commitments with his interest in working on and restoring nineteenth century houses in Chicago.
